Do you notice when reality exceeds your expectations? For me, 2014 was above all of this. It was daydreaming, it was seeing my sacrifices recognized, it was realizing my dreams. 2014 brought me where I had always wanted to be and did it almost without noticing. Many trips, planes and trains taken, so many experiences and achievements: I have traveled throughout Italy and I discovered new places abroad where I had never been, such as Portugal.
2014 made my little blog a proper job, recognized and hight respected by all the people around me. Milan has become my second home: I started to discover it, appreciating it and slowly fallen in love. The most important people in my life remained next to me and this is definitely one of the most beautiful gifts this year could give me. During the past months many new people become part in my days: people who share my same job and who have been and still are a constant source of inspiration and exchange.
During 2014 I attended 4 Weeks Milan Fashion (2 Woman and two Men) and two Paris Fashion Weeks: the dream for 2015 is to participate for the first time at the New York Fashion Week. And who knows that it can become a reality sooner than expected.
The outfits worn during the different Fashion Weeks were snapped and published by some of the most famous national and international magazine (Vogue, Grazia, Elle, Marie Claire), as well as some of the most famous and influential streetstyle photographers (Stockholm Streetstyle, J’ai perdu but robe, Le21eme, The Styleograph)
One of the highlights of this year was when the Book Fair of Turin want me to officially present my blog and my work: an experience that made me grown a lot and gave me the opportunity to tell my experience, how I go this far and what lies behind the work of a blogger.
For the first time in September I attended the Festival del Cinema in Venice, catwalking on the red carpet with the many movie stars arrive at the Lido for the occasion: it was a great emotion, hard to describe, it made me proud to being, in small part, one of the protagonists of the oldest Film Festival in the world, in one of my favorite city so far. I was in Venice for a week: I attended several events organized at the Lido, including the one by GreyGoose, and I visited the city again, not knowing that I would have come again only two months later, as one of the Venice Fashion Night‘s guests, for a weekend entirely dedicated to Made in Italy and Made in Veneto.
My blog has been enriched by three permanent collaborators that help me manage the behind the scenes of this great little space. All my social profiles grew a lot during this year: 40k on Facebook, Instagram 30k, 13k on Twitter with thousands of daily interactions. Few months ago I started to make video outfits for my Youtube channel which, thanks to the your positive feedbacks, will be an integral part of this space also in 2015. Thanks to the work of all of us Purses & I is now recognized, even by the most skeptical towards the world of blogs and bloggers, as a quality product and one of the most popular blog in the Italian scene. Indeed a great satisfaction.
2014 was the year of collaborations with some of the most famous luxury brand: such as Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Chloe, Pomellato, Disaronno as digital PR for Disaronno Terrace and Lacoste as testimonial for the promotional video campaign, shot in Paris .
This year has given me so much: it made me grown, it made me a stronger person, always looking for new ideas to overcome my limits. And this is what I wish to each of you for 2015, using the words of my favorite song of 2014: “Dreams always shape the world, dreams always make our reality “. Never stop dreaming, even when you feel like you can’t do something, even if everyone is against you. And thanks be the main part of my dream…. happy new year, happy 2015!
