Tendenze primavera 2016

Tendenze primavera 2016. “Floreale? Per la primavera? Avanguardia pura.”

Spring 2016 trend report: Floral dresses

“Florals? For spring? Ground breaking.” I hope that at this time you do not have the same expression of contempt of Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada. Her words come to mind every spring, when I regularly find myself wishing to wear floral dresses!

The bloom continues to be a major source of inspiration for designers. Even among the spring 2016 trends there are lots of floral proposals, both on clothing and on accessories. Many many dresses with floral prints, often on pastel, black or white background. As my set coordinated top and skirt, mixed cotton, chiffon and silk, which conquered me at first sight.

Here’s a small BUYER’S GUIDE:
- FABRICS. Light and evanescent, with see-throughs.
- PRINTS. Definitely daisies, cherry blossoms and roses (starring in SS 2016 Gucci, Saint Laurent and Dolce & Gabbana fashion shows).
- VOLUMES. Not only printed flowers, but also applied (at Fendi and Prada) and embroidered (at Blumarine).
- MODELS. Speaking about models, we find short, midi and long dresses. Enriched with puffed sleeves and ruffles or simple, basic models but bare shoulders.

Floral dresses like mine can be worn from now literally until late summer. In the city adding a maxi cardigan, a duster or a leather jacket and, for shoes, lace ups flats or suède boots, maybe with fringes… In accordance with your taste! Later on you can finally wear them alone, with a nice pair of sandals and maybe a hint of tan, which will make the dress even more beautiful!
I leave you to the photos… They have been shot during the full bloom of magnolias in one of my favorite parks of my hometown (Turin), Parco Europa.
Happy Monday and have a nice week!
