Vestirsi a strati: ecopelliccia e giacca di jeans

Vestirsi a strati.

Non vogliamo somigliare all’omino Michelin.
4. Personalizza il tuo look con gli accessori. Cappello, maxi sciarpa, guanti. Non necessariamente abbinati l’uno all’altro. Anche tutti insieme se necessario.

Layering denim jacket and faux fur: 5 tips

Snowy New York is inspiring and a spectacle of nature. If you’ve already followed me on Snapchat @lauracomolli you might have seen Central Park completely snow-covered and quiet. Pure emotion. The alarm sounded early in my room at the tenth floor of the Park Central Hotel, which offer other than the view of Central Park I was talking to you yesterday, two more giant windows overlooking different part of this fascinating city. The day was full of appointments. Three fashion shows: Tommy Hilfiger, who has recreated as location the pier of a ship, the T. H. Atlantic. The models were all beautiful and in the backstage I saw up close Sara Sampaio, Stella Maxwell, Martha Hunt and Taylor Hill in addition to the beautiful Gigi Hadid (watch the small video on Instagram @lauracomolli). Gigi has made a capsule collection in collaboration with Tommy and opened and closed the show. Speaking of the end, I really liked that the models are out two by two, like some girlfriends! Then it was the turn of Anna K, a young Ukrainian designer, 20 years old, that for the first time has marched to NYFW, presenting a futuristic collection dedicated to millennials, today’s young people who are entering the world of fashion. Finally Zac Posen. Beautiful, clean lines, dark colors but brilliant.

Speaking of my look, I had to necessarily dress in layers. I was wearing a total denim look made up jacket and bell-bottom jeans, topped with a very special black faux fur that I found on Zalando. For accessories a pair of pointed boots and a colorful mini bag by Paula Cademartori. To survive the freezing temperatures, in fact, the only solution is layering. In New York they use a lot this tecniques and street style has provided me with several interesting ideas… Here are 5 tips to create a layered look step-by-step!

1. Start building your outfit from the top. Many layers of different materials, but all thin. We do not want to add weight on our figure. Good combination is the slim turtleneck in wool or cashmere, solid or striped + leather jacket or denim + coat.
2. Cuissardes. If the secret to stay warm is to create layers of fabrics, the same must hold for the feet. A nice pair of tall leather boots are your best ally.
3. Socks. Also do not forget thermal tights and socks under you trousers. To not pass even a draft.
4. Customize your look with accessories. Hat, big scarf, gloves. Not necessarily matched to one another. Even all together if necessary.
5. Finally, look at the result in the mirror. If you’re concerned about your waist area, maybe you need to add a belt. If you still feel muffled, however, maybe it’s because you’ve taken too similar fabrics together: play with textures. Is much better to make a nice mix of fabrics and styles when you layer.

I hope my tips you can be helpful for you!
I wish you all a good Tuesday!
