December, an alternative Christmas tree and many beautiful things!
For me and my family the Christmas season has always been very important. It represents a more special occasion than usual to meet all again, an opportunity eagerly awaited by each member of the family: especially by me, especially since my beautiful work brings me to travel almost every week. My favorite aspect of the holiday season is just the chance to spend time together, stuffing pandoro with custard handmade by my mother, baking gingerbread cookies, preparing small baskets of chocolates to put as a placeholder at the Christmas dining table, which traditionally is spent in my parents’ house. Not to mention one of my favorite aspects, the Christmas tree decoration. Every year I have a special assistant to help me choose and place the balls… Guess who it is?
Obviously her: my cat Kiki! For Christmas 2016 I chose to decorate the tree in an alternative way, with my entire collection of soft toys! Each one found their place: from Dumbo, passing Pluto and Tigger, Winnie The Pooh, Huey, Dewey & Louie coming to Minnie and Mickey Mouse hugging the tip! Do you like it?
December was a pretty busy month for me. It started with a one-week trip to Miami during Art Basel 2016 (of which soon I will tell you in a dedicated post)! As soon as I set foot in Turin (after a return trip lasted over thirty hours because of a fault at the plane), I immediately left with my boyfriend to accompany him during his business trip to Madonna di Campiglio… I don’t deny that going from Miami beach to the snow of Trentino was a bit traumatic! On the way back I stopped in Milan for a few nights, catching many invitations I received to attend dinners and Christmas events: Dolce & Gabbana, Zalando, Martini… Today it’s Friday and I almost did not realize Sunday is almost here!
In the background there is the voice of Laura Pausini who sings “Santa Claus is coming to town“, Kiki is playing with soft toys, I’m sipping my cup of tea and ginger… Happy Holidays and hugs to you all!
