How I do my makeup during Fashion Week
How I do my makeup during Fashion Week. They say that when you feel the need for a change you start from the hair. I started with a new cut, in fact with two (long bob with long fringe, then replaced by a shorter fringe), and then went to the makeup. On the occasion of Milan Fashion Week I had the pleasure of being chosen as the Italian Ambassador of Marc Jacobs Beauty and Sephora Italia, being able to try out some of the latest make-up of the moment! Thanks to Yvonne, the make-up artist who made my makeup the first day at Sephora in Corso Vittorio Emanuele and then every day of Fashion Week in my hotel room, I learned how to elongate and define my eyes with the new Eye-Conic palettes by Marc Jacobs Beauty… Here’s the result!
How I do my makeup during Fashion Week with the new Marc Jacobs Beauty palettes
Yvonne started from the base, trying to make it the more uniform and brighter possible with the combination of foundation, concealer, powder and highlighter. She also did a little bit of contouring, to warm up my face. then it was the turn of the eyes. First she applied Under(cover) eye primer, infused with coconut, which preps the eyes and sticks the eyeshadows to the eyelid throughout the day. Then she went to pick the combinations of eyeshadows to match with my looks: she often used the warm colors of the Glambition palette, sometimes the pinks of Provocouture.
Each of the 5 Eye-Conic palettes of Marc Jacobs Beauty, exclusive to Sephora, contains 7 eye shadows in intense colors and finishes, mat and shimmer. They are not dusty at all, they are easily applied and, if they are after primer, they have a very long life span. When I went to moan the eye late in the evening, it was perfect as just applied!
To lengthen and better define the shape of my eyes, Yvonne, after spreading a neutral shade over the entire eyelid (mainly a beige or a light pink), proceeded to apply with a shadow brush, called The Shadow, a shade on the eyelid and intensify the tail of the eye with a darker shade, to stretch its rounded shape. She then defined the eyelashes line, and then apply the mascara as the last step.
If the result was not exactly the same on both eyes there was no need to worry: Yvonne taught me a “makeup” trick. Just take the concealer in your hand and apply it with the brush firmly upwards, so you can clean any excess of eyeshadow!
On the lips I experienced some of the Le Marc liquid lipsticks. They impressed me for their quality and very high hold, perfect even after eating. The colors are really all beautiful!
What do you think about it? Did you like my makeup during Milan Fashion Week?
Happy Wednesday! See you soon with a new post!
