Milan and Paris Fashion Week 2019
Milan and Paris Fashion Week 2019. I have just come back home after two intense weeks between Milan and Paris (with a stop in Istanbul in between) and, as usual, I want to share with you all the looks I wore for these occasions!
Milan and Paris Fashion Week 2019: What I Wore
My Milan Fashion Week started with a very special event: a cocktail party at Arco della Pace for the presentation of the new Lexus Ux hybrid car, organized in partnership with Grazia magazine!
JACKET: Vintage. TOP: Red Valentino. PANTS: Manoush. BAG: Chanel.
First show of the week: Alberto Zambelli (followed immediately by Arthur Arbesser). For the occasion I chose a suit with yellow jacket and trousers by the same designer, which I paired with a white sweater and slingback sandals of the same color. Green contrast bag by Valextra.
SUIT: Alberto Zambelli. SWEATER: Zara. SUNNIES: Jimmy Choo by Safilo. BAG: Valextra. SHOES: Casadei.
I’ve been collaborating with DeMarquet, a brand of bags and accessories, for a very long time now and this year I wanted to make a video (which you can find on my Instagram profile) to show how easy and quick it is to change the flap of their iconic bag and transform it from a day bag to an evening bag… It’s no coincidence that it’s called Night & Day! Below I leave you three backstage shots to show you the outfits!
BAG: DeMarquet.
Fashion Week is not just fashion shows, but also presentations, events and cocktail parties. Often in really special locations. Like the one chosen for Santoni presentation: at Cracco in Galleria!
MAXI SWEATER: M Missoni. BOOTS: Santoni. HEADBAND: Mazzolari.
First day ended with the presentation of one of my favorite brands ever, Moncler. For the occasion I wore jacket and skirt from Noir Kei Ninomiya x Moncler collection, adding a touch of color with a pair of Casadei corolla sandals.
TOTAL LOOK: Moncler. SHOES: Casadei.
With a total black look you can never go wrong! I usually choose it when I want to emphasize the accessories: a mini floral bag, sparkling heels and maxi fuchsia satin headband… A real must-have for the season!
TOTAL LOOK: Adelbel. BAG: Etro. SHOES: Roger Vivier. HEADBAND: handmade.
Quick change of look: this time I paired my headband with a baby pink suit and I picked up the fuchsia with a bag of the same shade… Which of the two outfits do you prefer?
SUIT: MRZ. BAG: AAChiolo.
Evening outfit for Gucci re-see (below you see me with the Elle Japan team) and for Moschino fashion show: I paired my sequined boots with a longuette skirt in the same fabric and I really loved the final result! I added a white jacket and a Valextra bag to complete it!
JACKET: Vintage SKIRT: MRZ. BAG: Valextra.
For Tod’s fashion show I chose two top accessories from their SS2019 collection, in one of the trendiest colors of the season: Mango yellow! I matched it with a knitted suit by M Missoni.
TOTAL LOOK: M Missoni. BAG + SUNNIES: Tod’s.
It was then the turn of Blumarine fashion show and for the occasion I chose a relaxed look, different from the ones I usually wear, but that I really liked. A jumpsuit with tulle inserts of my favorite designer twins, ChiGlo … I love this shade of blue!
TRACKSUIT: ChiGlo. SHOES: Casadei.
Immediately after it was the turn of Etro show: take a look at the wonderful invitation and at the gift bag containing the iconic Via Verri fragrance.
I chose an outfit in shades of orange for Salvatore Ferragamo and Brognano fashion shows: a warm wool cape, leggings and accessories that matches the colors of the look.
TOTAL LOOK: M Missoni. SUNNIES: Hugo Boss by Safilo. BAG: Valextra. SHOES: Casadei.
Romantic mood for Ermanno Scervino fashion show. I chose a look in shades of cream and pale pink, customizing it with a contrasting accessory: an animalier maxi headband, which I wanted to wear with the hair tied in a low ponytail!
TOTAL LOOK + BAG: Ermanno Scervino. SUNNIES: Chanel. BOOTS: Le Silla.
New outfit change for Missoni fashion show. I wore a knit jacket and a top of the new collection of the brand and I wanted to match them with pink pants, blue shoes and accessories in the same shades… So obsessed with pastel colors lately!
JACKET + TOP: Missoni. PANTS: MRZ. SUNNIES: BAG: Chanel. SHOES: Dolce&Gabbana.
Neon yellow is a great trend of the moment: if you like it too but you don’t go crazy for it, choose it on a garment that should not be too much in display. For example, on a turtleneck sweater or a t-shirt: it will not give too much attention. For the Fay presentation I matched my fluo sweater with a beautiful trench coat by Fay, wide-leg jeans, a pair of sandals and an electric blue bag.
TRENCH-COAT: Fay. TURTLENECK: Manoush. DENIM: Pimkie. SHOES: Dolce&Gabbana.
Trench coats, in classic beige or colored, are my favorite jacket for spring. At Milan Fashion Week I also wore another model, for the presentations of Valextra and Paula Cademartori. This is a classic Burberry trench which has been revisited, hand painted and made completely new… The brand that makes it is called Bad Deal and I chose the model with Donald Duck!
TRENCH-COAT: Bad Deal. DENIM: Pimkie. SHOES: Balenciaga. BAG: Valextra.
Milan Fashion Week ended with a gala dinner inside Royal Palace, organized by Camera della Moda in partnership with S. Pellegrino. This year the brand celebrated its 120 years of activity and presented the limited edition Diamond bottle in front of 120 guests: isn’t it beautiful?!
DRESS: Red Valentino. BELT: Dior. JEWELRY: Atelier Swarovski. BOOTS: Casadei.
Adieu Milan, bonjour Paris!
This year Paris Fashion Week lasted for me less than usual because I had a previously planned trip to Istanbul right in the middle (the blog post where I will tell you all about this trip will come out in the next few days), so I had to reduce my stay to just three days.
The first stop on my arrival was a shooting for Mac Cosmetics in their Powder Kiss Lounge: I asked the make-up artist to realize on me the perfect eye-liner and nude lips with one of their new Powder Kiss lipsticks, with a matte finish but at the same time a moisturizing and impalpable… Love this new formula and I recommend you go to try it in store if you have not done yet!
TOTAL LOOK: Max Mara. BAG: Valextra. BOOTS: Le Silla.
After the shooting, I had Loewe’s re-see and Vivienne Westwood show. Same all-white look for both appointments: in Paris the weather was very uncertain, so I opted for a knit dress and my very warm Teddy Coat by Max Mara!
New look in shades of pink and fuchsia: I chose a maxi long coat on a chemisier, boots with heels and vintage Chanel bag from by my friends of Second Vie boutique in Turin. I wore it for Thom Browne show!
COAT: Cristiano Burani. DRESS: BAG: Chanel via SecondVie.it. SUNNIES: Dior by Safilo. BOOTS: Le Silla
Last look from Paris Fashion Week, worn for Giambattista Valli fashion show and for some presentations. I chose again a light blue outfit, composed this time by jacket and trousers with tartan inserts: a truly original idea of my beloved friends and twins Chiara and Gloria from ChiGlo!
SUIT: ChiGlo. SUNNIES: Prada via Luxottica.
I would like to thank rom the bottom of my hearth Hotel Barrière Le Fouquet’s for the amazing hospitality in Paris and for having reserved us one of the most beautiful suites with a view of the Arc de Thriomph … Look how wonderful it was!
See you soon here on the blog with new posts! In the meantime you can find me on Instagram @lauracomolli!
