Two days in New Forest
Two days in New Forest. Inside the nature is a constant key of my last trips. And I can’t be happy and grateful for this (despite the initial loss of Internet connection). Without the possibility of knowing what’s going on in the world, we really end up focusing on what’s happening in our present. Realizing its true value, which is good to never forget. And that’s exactly what happened to me in my two days in the New Forest, a vast forest that is in England, southwest of London. It was not by accident that it was chosen by Jo Malone London for the launch of its new line The English Oak.
Two days in New Forest with Jo Malone London
After arriving in London on Monday night, the next morning I was expecting a new flight. A very, very special flight: on board not of an airplane, but an helicopter! What a better way to admire the panorama from above and then plan right on foot from the huge oaks of New Forest!
Once landed, a truly breathtaking scenery opened up to my eyes. Made even more evocative by the rain, that I defeat thanks to with a pair of rubber boots, a gift from Jo Malone London, and one of the most magical umbrellas I’ve ever seen!
So I went to discover the New Forest. During the walk, the various ingredients used to make The English Oak scent were revealed step by step. The experience was visual, but accompanied by the olfactory perception and also the tasteful one.
Everything to discover English Oak & Redcurrant and English Oak & Hazelnut, the two new colonies of the Woody Spicy group. Both have the luxurious oak as a base note. The first is fresher, thanks to the presence of red currant and rose. The second is warmer and enveloping, thanks to the presence of cedar wood and green hazelnut.
We then reached the Lime Wood Hotel right in time for 5:00 pm tea!
Exploring the surroundings of the Hotel, right in the middle of New Forest, I discovered that there are lots of free-roaming horses!
We continued to breathe the magic of New Forest even during the dinner, beautifully set up at Lime Wood Hotel.
The next morning, before saying goodbye, I decided to have a long relaxing bath to test the new products calmly.
The English Oak collection, available from September at all the Jo Malone London boutiques, also includes a scented candle, a cream and a hands-and-body cleanser, in addition to the two new colonies, English Oak & Redcurrant and English Oak & Hazelnut.
If you want to find out more about the fragrances and about all Jo Malone London collections, HERE and HERE you will find two posts where I tell you the history of the brand and my first experience with the art of Fragrance Combining!
I thank my travel companion Denise for having decided to share this experience with me!
Good Friday and a happy weekend to all of you!
